We create these images from CAD data, typically Step format. E-Commerce renderings are typically the product on a white or transparent background with a transparent shadow, allowing the image to be placed over anything with the shadow in tact. For more realism, we can match the camera of a photograph and render and composite the products into the photograph. Human interaction, natural lighting and camera depth of field give users a better sense of scale and believability. If packaging has already been designed, we can use that as a backplate in the render for previews, allowing reviews to be seen in context rather than having to spend time back and forth with a packaging team to create reviews.
